Victoria Brooks

Director of Strategic Partnerships

Victoria is a communications strategist specialising in the development of sustainability stories that inspire change.

With over 15 years in the communications industry, Victoria has led brand strategy teams on both sides of the Atlantic in advertising agencies including Ogilvy, Fallon and BBH, working with global companies and NGOs on the creation of integrated marketing campaigns.

Inspired by her work with Unilever and Barnardos, Victoria saw the potential for the industry’s creativity to make a broader impact by answering bigger questions, leading her to initiate a ‘think tank’ within BBH London to explore this opportunity in 2005.

This early exploration of sustainability and creativity led Victoria to consult independently, meeting the rising sustainability agenda with unexpected creative solutions.  She has worked in partnership with agencies such as Naked, Erasmus, Swarm and Mother for clients ranging from global leaders like Unilever, Sony and Kering to campaigning organisations like WWF and Hope HIV.

In a five-year partnership with Sony Europe and Naked, she executive-produced a documentary, The Forest Guards, for the National Geographic Channel, produced a series of viral films and originated a digital crowd-sourcing platform, Open Planet Ideas with WWF and IDEO, which won the Guardian Sustainable Business Award for Communicating Sustainability in 2011.

Victoria’s work with Swarm creating the D&AD’s Break the Silence on Climate Change campaign confirmed the potential of the industry to impact big issues, if only we can harness it.  This quest continues with The Comms Lab.
